Enjoy a three-hour game drive across the 10 000 ha game reserve in an open safari vehicle, in search of the Big 5. As you enter the reserve you may encounter a herd of antelope before dipping down towards the lions’ reserve. You will be blown away by the majestic beauty of the male Cape Barbary lion which is a rare specimen. From thereon you will encounter an endless number of antelope species ranging from the beautifully marked Oryx, wildebeest, eland, springbok, threatened rhino and herds of zebra. After exciting twists and turns spotting elephant, giraffe, and hippo you will arrive at your last stop before returning to the lodge for lunch – the cheetah sanctuary where you will gain key insight into their behaviour. These fascinating creatures are the heart and soul of Inverdoorn Game Reserve.

  1. Great transport, great food, great experience

My wife and I decided to partake in the Inverdoorn Day Safari. We did not have a vehicle in Cape Town and really wanted to do some game viewing before we had to go back home to the UK. We found Inverdoorn online and decided that we really wanted to go. Luckily we found this package with Cape Town Safaris. Booking and payment very easy. Our driver came to pick us up at our hotel in Cape Town and dropped us off again at the end. The open game vehicle allowed us to see lions lying in the grass and also a few Rhino. The tour guide was amazing and knew exactly where to take us so that we could spot lions, hippos and many other animals. All in all it was a fantastic package with a great lunch included as the cherry on top. This is definitely a must do activity during your time in Cape Town!

  2. Amazing family trip

Inverdoorn is the perfect place to spot the Big 5 if you are visiting Cape Town. Booking and payment was easy and pick up was on time at our hotel. Tour was well priced. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the day, and really helped me feel immersed in nature!

  3. Wildlife & Family fun, Definite Return!

I decided to take my family on their very first game drive, now that our kids are a bit older. The last time I was on a game drive was with my wife many years ago, this experience was even better than I remembered. The staff was so welcoming & always present. It has been a dream of mine to show my kids wildlife up-close for a long time. The kids could not stop talking about their experience & about the wildlife seen. Great atmosphere, great people. Definitely will return!

  4. Very good trip – we got to see many different kinds of animals. A cheetah walked right in front of our Land Rover. Our guide was veryknowledgeable.
On the drive to the reserve from Cape Town, the driver makes a stop for stretching your legs and a quick breakfast. There is coffee and tea when you arrive, the bathrooms are very clean, and a buffet style lunch after your game drive.
